Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2016 Kia Sorento- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Kia Sorento, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Yakima Off Grid Roof Top Cargo Basket with the extension. That part number is Y07138-08. If you wish to have this cargo basket without the usage, then you can purchase that under part number Y07138.Now, the extension is going to add about 18" to the length of your basket, taking it from 44" to 62". The width with the extension and without it is going to be 40".Now, we have four different points where it mounts to our roof top, or to our roof rack, excuse me. We have four rubber coated steel straps that are gonna provide a nice, secure feature to our cargo basket. I'll show you how to install this last one real quick. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2015 Kia Sorento- Video

Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento we're doing a test fit of the Curt roof-mounted cargo basket. This is 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by four inches deep and has a 150 pound weight capacity. You do want to double check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. The part number for this is C18115. We already have three of our four mounts secured down. Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Kia Soul- Video

Today on our 2017 Kia Soul, we're going to test fitting the Thule Canyon XT roof cargo basket, part number TH859XT. The Thule Canyon XT is great for carrying your camping gear, your luggage, sporting goods equipment, anything you want to keep out from the inside, or to free up more space on the inside. It measures 49 inches long, by 40 inches wide, and by six inches tall at the highest point. It comes with the farring 00:00:24 unit already installed, and that coupled with the aerodynamic design of the cargo basket itself, you're going to cut down on wind noise and drag while you're driving. With the placement of the rack, you're not going to have to remove the antennae at all. Plus, it's not going to interfere at all with your rear hatch, as there's plenty of clearance between the two. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's go ahead and show you it installs. We already have three of our U-bolts installed around the rack, let's go ahead and show you this last one here, on the passenger side. more

The Curt Cargo Basket is great for carrying your luggage, your sporting goods equipment, or your camping gear and keeping it out of your vehicle. It measures 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide by 4 inches high and has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds although always double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure it can withstand that weight on the roof. At the rear here we're not gonna have any issues of clearance between our hatch and the cargo basket itself. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the cargo basket, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Roof Top Mounted Cargo Basket. This cargo basket is going to be Part #TH859, measuring 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, and have a depth of 6 inches. With its sturdy steel construction, it's going to offer a 150 pound weight capacity. As you can see, we've already got the two front feet in place with the brackets around our crossbars, as well as the driver's side rear. Now I'm going to show you how to place on the last one. One thing I do want to talk about is that before you get it set up on your vehicle, adjust your metal brackets and your feet here to fit your crossbar spread center to center of whatever that is. Our crossbar spread here is 27 1/2 inches, so we've spaced these out from the center cut out circle here to the circle on the front one, 27 1/2 inches. more

Today on our 2015 KIA Sorento, We're going to be doing a test fit of the sport rack Vista rooftop mounted cargo basket. Part number SR9035. This basket is going to measure 44" long, 39 1/8th inches wide, have a depth of 6' and with it's sturdy steel construction it's going to offer a 110 lb weight capacity. Also, giving you the option of making it longer if you desire by getting the addition and extension piece. If you look down on the bottom your going to see two of the feet already in place on the front, as well as the rear passenger side. Before you place your basket up here, it's always good to make sure you have your spacers in place. That's going to be these plastic pieces that are going to go in between your basket and your cross bar system. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Soul, we'll be test-fitting the Thule MOAB Rooftop Cargo Basket, also known as the Mother of All Baskets, Part number TH690XT.We'll begin our test-fit by placing the cargo basket onto the vehicle's load bars. After positioning it where you'd like, we'll bring the brackets along the underside of the crossbars, thread the silver bolts through the underside of the bracket, going up into the hole of the top bracket, and threading on our gray wing nut. We'll the do this for all three of the other brackets. Today on our 2012 Kia Soul well be test fitting the Thule Moab roof carrier, part number TH690. To begin our test fit well set the carrier onto the load bars, swing the brackets underneath the load bars and secure with the grey knobs. Thule MOAB Roof Top Cargo Basket Review - 2013 Kia Sorento- Video

Today on our 2013 Kia Sorrento well be test fitting part number TH690, the Thule Moab rooftop cargo basket. Now to begin our test fit our vehicle is already equipped with the Thule roof rack system so well simply place our basket on top of our crossbars making sure that the clamps line up directly over the top of both crossbars. If need be you can move the clamps as well as the crossbars in order to accommodate the roof basket. Now with our basket placed on top of the roof well make sure that its centered with the vehicle. Where well then take the clamps, make sure they go underneath the crossbars and secure them on the other side with the bolt and wing nut. With the feet on our basket already setup with the crossbars on our vehicle, we will go ahead and slip it on and see what it looks like. Alright once we get our roof basket on top of the vehicle, I like to center it up so that it is aesthetically pleasing. Now we can go ahead and install our clamps.
